The Erie Community Foundation, The Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership and The United Way of Erie County all share concerns about our local economy. Our economy is changing. Our manufacturing sector has experienced substantial job loss. Important investments in technology are helping these businesses keep productivity and output high. There are some other bright spots in our local economy. Health Care and Tourism are among our growth areas while other areas remain stable or are poised for growth.
