Proceeds from the ArtsErie United Fund are distributed not only to Erie’s major arts organizations, but also to many community arts programs and projects. The ArtsErie United Fund, previously known as the United Arts Fund Drive, has provided support to Erie’s arts community for over 40 years.
The ArtsErie United Fund is a substantial funding mechanism to the arts and cultural institutions of the Erie region. The “up and down” yet consistent decline in the ArtsErie United Fund clearly has and will continue to negatively impact the cultural vitality of the Erie region. The decline in funding of the ArtsErie United Fund is consistent with all revenue categories that support Erie County’s arts and cultural organizations.
