Revenue received by Arts & Cultural organizations in Erie County has decreased across most areas from 2006 to 2008, except for an increase in contributed revenue in 2008. The total revenue decrease was approximately 12% over the three-year range from 2006 to 2008. Earned revenue, while increasing in 2007, decreased substantially (over 43%) in 2008 – this trend is likely due in part to the decrease in paid attendance at arts and cultural organizations over that same time period.
